Regular Membership
Who is this for?
Regular membership is available to investment professionals directly involved in or supporting the investment decision-making process.

How do I become a Regular Member?
To become a regular member of CFA Society Emirates, you will need to:
• Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education or work experience
• Have passed the Level I CFA Exam, or the self-administered Standards of Practice Examination
• Provide three (3) professional references, unless you have a reference from an active CFA Society Emirates regular member – in which case, two (2) professional references are required
• Agree to adhere to and sign the members' agreement and professional conduct statement
What kind of work experience do I need?
You will need to have at least 4,000 hours of relevant experience, completed in a minimum of 36 months.

Affiliated Membership
Who is this for?
Affiliate membership is available to investment professionals who do not meet the eligibility requirements of regular membership or do not intend to participate in the CFA Program.

How do I become an Affiliate Member?
To become an affiliate member of CFA Society Emirates, you will need to:
• Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education or work experience
• Provide three (3) professional references, unless you have a reference from an active CFA Society Emirates regular member – in which case, two (2) professional references are required
• Agree to adhere to and sign the members' agreement and professional conduct statement
What kind of work experience do I need?
You will need to have at least 24 months of experience related to the investment decision-making process or producing a work product that informs or adds value to that process. Or you will need to have at least 5 years of experience in the broader investments field.

Membership Fees
Our membership year spans from the 1st of July to the 30th of June. You can pay your CFA Society Emirates membership fee at the same time that you pay your CFA Institute membership fee, in US dollars, via your CFA Institute account.
