Join us for our in-person/virtual luncheon -- "View from Washington: Making Sense of Current Wars, U.S. Trade Policy & U.S. Elections" -- on Wednesday, Nov. 4!
Join Frank Kelly, Founder and Managing Partner of Fulcrum Macro Advisors and Senior Political Strategist for DWS, for a discussion of the geopolitical, economic, and policy developments shaping today's environment. Drawing on decades of Washington experience and an extensive policy network, Frank will examine the implications of current conflicts, U.S. trade policy, and the political landscape in the immediate aftermath of the midterm elections.
Global conflicts, shifting trade relationships, demographic trends, technological change, and U.S. politics are interacting in ways that are reshaping the economic landscape. In this presentation, Frank will share his perspective on key developments in Washington and around the world, including the impact of current wars, U.S. trade policy, the 2026 elections, and emerging policy debates. The discussion will also touch on issues of relevance to Iowa and the broader Midwest, including agriculture, energy and international trade.
This luncheon is open to members and non-members.

The in-person luncheon will be held at Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel in downtown Des Moines. Doors open and a buffet lunch is served at 11:30 AM, and the presentation begins at 12:00 PM.
There are several easy parking options for this location. The 4th & Grand Parking Garage is just to the east of the hotel (a two- to three-minute walk) and costs $1 per hour. Street parking is also available in front of and around the hotel.

A virtual option is also available. For those attending virtually, the Zoom presentation will begin at 12:00 PM.
