CFA Society Ottawa
CFA Society Ottawa is the local chapter of CFA Institute, representing more than 500 active investment professionals across the Ottawa-Gatineau region — including portfolio managers, security analysts, and investment advisors from the private sector, federal government, Crown corporations, and some of the country's most significant pension and institutional investors.
Founded in 1977, we're approaching our 50th anniversary in 2027 — five decades of advancing professional excellence, ethics, and investment education in the National Capital Region.
Our mission is to foster the business and professional growth of our members by raising awareness of the CFA Charter within the local community, key employers, and the investing public. We also create valuable opportunities for the financial community to connect, share knowledge, and network in a collaborative and collegial environment — through signature events like our Forecast Dinner, Golf Day, Career Connections, and WIM Fireside Chat, alongside ongoing volunteer and mentorship opportunities.
