Quick Bytes Webinar: "Extracting the Best from Natural Resources"

    Apr 7, 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (ET)
This webinar will explore the distinctive role commodities can play within an investment portfolio and why the asset class continues to attract investor interest. We will examine the unique benefits commodities may offer, including their potential to serve as an inflation and geopolitical hedge, provide low correlation to traditional assets, generate alpha, and offer liquidity. The discussion will also compare commodity equities and commodity futures, highlighting the relative advantages and considerations of each approach. In addition, we will address the merits of active versus passive strategies in commodity investing and how investors might think about implementation. The session will conclude with a look at current positioning and market outlook across key segments of the commodity complex, including gold, silver, and energy, to help frame opportunities and risks in today’s environment. CFAD members who register before April 6, 2026 will receive a $25 meal credit to use for a lunch delivery on the day of the presentation (US residents only)
