In-Person/Virtual Luncheon: "Going Offshore – An Update on Global Life Reinsurance Trends"

In this session, we will explore popular offshore jurisdictions for life reinsurers and recent industry trends. This will include a detailed exposition of the Bermuda and Cayman reserving and capital frameworks contrasted with the new VM-22 Principle Based Reserving and RBC framework in the domestic market. Our presenter will be Gareth Haslip, global head of insurance strategy and analytics and head of international institutional strategy for J.P. Morgan Asset Management.   This luncheon is open to members and non-members.   Doors open and a buffet lunch is served at 11:30 AM, and the presentation begins at 12:00 PM.

Finance Forward: Networking Breakfast Series - Speed Networking Edition

Enjoy breakfast and expand your professional network! We’ll kick things off with casual, randomized seating for breakfast, followed by speed‑networking rounds that rotate you through short, focused conversations. Each round features light, engaging prompts to keep conversations flowing.   Gathering will start at 8:00 AM and the networking rounds will start at 8:30 AM.   This event is open to everyone! Credit Trends with Michael Gatto & Rip Reeves

Join us for a fireside chat on private markets and credit investing with Michael Gatto, partner and Head of Private Markets at Silver Point Capital, adjunct professor at Columbia and Fordham Universities, and author of "The Credit Investor’s Handbook." Rip Reeves, CEO of Institutional Investor and former CIO of Aegis Insurance, will moderate.   Check-in and networking start at 4:30. The fireside chat starts at 5:00. Members and CFA candidates are invited to join us for a networking/social event at PinSocial in Tiffin on Thursday, May 28 from 5-7 PM! Food and drinks will be provided. Please bring your own golf clubs if possible.

In-Person/Virtual Luncheon: Annual Meeting of Members

The FY 2026-27 Society Board will be elected during this Annual Meeting. The Board will also present on the society's FY25-26 operating and financial performance, offer an outlook for the society in the coming 12 months, discuss the results of the annual member survey, and answer questions from attendees. 

Annual Golf Outing - Central Iowa (Polk City)

Members and non-members of all skill levels are welcome! Check-in opens at 8:15 AM with a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. Registration includes 18 holes with a cart, range balls, breakfast items to take on the course, drink tickets, a post-golf lunch reception, and prizes. Players should supply their own golf clubs.
