2024 Annual Dinner

We'll enjoy an evening of great food and drinks, socializing, networking and a keynote presentation by Molly Bloom, whose life story is the subject of the Oscar-nominated film "Molly's Game!" Legendary for running the world’s most exclusive high stakes poker game frequented by A-List Hollywood celebrities and sports figures, Molly is a top-booked inspirational speaker and one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women. She will share her story of triumph, ruin and reinvention—from Olympic dreams crushed by a career-ending accident to seeing her multi-million-dollar business threatened by organized crime and shut down by the FBI. When it comes to resilience, reinvention and resetting mindsets to achieve your vision, Molly’s presentation provides a playbook for success that is as actionable as it is inspiring! Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 PM, dinner is served at 6:30 PM, and the keynote begins at 7:00 PM. There will be time for post-dinner drinks, socializing and networking after the presentation until 9:00 PM. This event is open to everyone! Tickets are $100 for CFA Society Iowa members, and $150 for non-members. Space is limited, so register early!

In-Person / Virtual Luncheon: "Emerging and Diverse Manager Investing"

Jessica Holsey, Managing Director on GCM Grosvenor’s Private Equity Investment team, will give an overview of the firm’s history investing with diverse managers. During this conversation, Ms. Holsey will provide commentary on the evolution of the diverse manager market opportunity and talk about how to incorporate diverse manager investments into a portfolio.

In-Person / Virtual Luncheon: Annual Meeting of Members

The FY 2024-25 Society Board will be elected during this Annual Meeting. The Board will also present on the society's FY23-24 operating and financial performance, offer an outlook for the society in the coming 12 months, discuss the results of the annual member survey, and answer questions from attendees.    This luncheon is free for CFA Society Iowa members.   Doors open at 11:30 AM, lunch is served shortly after, and the presentation begins at 12:00 PM.

Annual Golf Outing - Polk City

Join us for a day on the golf course! Members and non-members of all skill levels are welcome.   Registration fee: $45 per member; $65 per non-member   Registration includes 18 holes with a cart, range balls, breakfast items to take on the course, drink tickets, a post-golf lunch reception, and prizes. Players should supply their own golf clubs.   During the registration process, there will be a space to provide pairing requests (if any). Otherwise, we will do our best to balance the skill levels on each team and group together individuals that otherwise may not have the opportunity to socialize with each other. During registration, you will be asked for your usual score based on 18 holes. We will use this information to create pairings.   Last day to register is June 13.
