Official Opening of the Luxembourg Financial Year 

CFA Society Luxembourg has been extremely delighted to celebrate the Official Opening of the Luxembourg Financial Year together with LFMA, ICMA, ALRIM, and  GFR. In line with the well-established tradition since 2016, the event confirms itself as a valuable opportunity for discussion among financial market participants, banks and institutions.

On the occasion of this year's opening, the Minister of Finance, Gilles Roth shared online his words highlighting the importance of this joint initiative representing professionals working in financial markets and risk management in Luxembourg. Thanks to the various trainings and certifications provided by our associations, we contribute to the success of the country relying on certified experts since decades.

New Year Drinks

Once again our traditional New Year's Social Event kept the winter blues away as members networked around drink and nibbles.

Post-Exam Drinks

After a recent Exam Window for CFA Exams passed, our local society invited Candidates and Members in the area to a fun session of networking at its most recent Post-Exam Drink on November 28th at Vida.

Attended by numerous participants, attendees were able to share common experiences over some drinks and snacks and also hear about upcoming local activities the Society is organising (including ways to join in and get involved). It was another way CFA Society Luxembourg could recognize their hard work studying over the past months.

Market Abuse Regulation: An International Perspective

2023 marked the 15th anniversary of the joint series of events organised by Bocconi Alumni Luxembourg and CFA Society Luxembourg.

This year participants had the privilege to listen and exchange extensively with Professor Marco Venturrozzo on market abuse regulation within an international perspective.

A cocktail closed the evening. 

CFA Society Luxembourg 20th Anniversary

On October 9th, over 200 members and guests from major Luxembourg institutions gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of CFA Society Luxembourg.

Distinguished speakers gave insights and shared thoughts with the audience; including Yuriko Backes, Luxembourg Finance Minister and Paul Smith, CFA, former President and CEO of CFA Institute.
