Professional Society Team

Chow Syn Nee is the Executive Director of CFA Society Malaysia. As the Executive Director, she spearheads the Society to closely support the Board of Directors in delivering high-quality services to the Society's key stakeholders, including regulators, employers, members, and candidates, to raise the brand profile and promote recognition of the CFA® Charter in the capital markets. 

Syn Nee has been in the financial industry for over 20 years with over 12 years in the asset management industry, focusing on Sales and Clients Servicing. Her responsibility covered the institutional clients of Government-Linked Companies (GLCs), insurance, and private companies which also include universities. During her time in the asset management industry, Syn Nee obtained her Capital Market Service Representative’s License (CMSRL), Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) License, Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) License as well as the ICA International Advanced Certification in Anti Money Laundering.

She graduated from Monash University Australia with a Bachelor of Business (Management) degree and has been awarded the CFA Institute Investment Foundations® Certificate



Sabrina is the Society Support Senior Executive at CFA Society Malaysia, where she leads initiatives to enhance the Society's brand and engage with stakeholders. She works closely with education partners, candidates, and regulators, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with CFA Institute guidelines. She also supports the Executive Director and Board in managing tasks like business planning, budgeting, and event coordination.
 
Previously, Sabrina held roles as Project Manager and Resource Manager at Speequal Language Solutions, an Indonesian localisation company. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from Universiti Teknologi Mara. Sabrina is recognized for her strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail, with a passion for media, entertainment, and administrative services.



Yee Kiat serves as the Institutional and Advocacy Relations Manager at CFA Society Malaysia. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with Institutional Partners and strengthening the Society's network with key stakeholders. She also actively supports initiatives aimed at enhancing the reputation and visibility of the CFA® Program through advocacy-driven activities amongst CFA® Charterholders, professional bodies, and regulatory entities.
 
Yee Kiat holds a Bachelor of Communication, Advertising, and Marketing Communication from the University of Canberra, Australia. Her professional journey is marked by diverse experiences, particularly within international market research agencies and P&G Malaysia. Her versatile skill set includes market dynamics comprehension, consumer behaviour analysis, brand management, sales and marketing analytics, and strategic planning.



Afiqah currently leads the Events & Marketing Relations at CFA Society Malaysia, overseeing event planning, marketing strategies, and digital content creation. She plays a key role in engaging members, candidates, and universities, while managing youth-focused initiatives such as the Research Challenge and University Roadshows. Afiqah ensures consistent and compelling branding across social media and the website, maintaining fresh, engaging content that aligns with the society's strategic goals and outreach efforts.

Prior to joining CFA Society Malaysia, Afiqah worked as a Project Executive at iTrain Kids Sdn Bhd, where she gained valuable experience in project coordination and event management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English for International Communication from the International Islamic University Malaysia. Enthusiastic about event management and bringing creative ideas to life, Afiqah is skilled in project management, stakeholder engagement, and digital marketing.
