Exam Format

There are no formal entry criteria for this qualification, but it is strongly recommended that candidates have a solid grounding in the investment process achieved via formal qualification or experience.

  • 100 multiple-choice questions
  • Total exam time allowed is 2 hours and 20 minutes
  • The exam will only be available in English
  • Administered in person at test centers in selected markets*
  • Online proctoring is available, depending on local regulations and system capability

*ProProctor remote proctoring for CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing is not available in all markets at this time. Please check if remote examination or a physical test center is available in your area before registering.
