Opportunity
The Pittsburgh-based single-family office, Two Three Five Partners LLC, is a seeking a humble, intellectually curious, and self-motivated individual to join our investment team. The Investment Officer will collaborate across all aspects of the global investment program including sourcing, diligence, closing, and monitoring of investments (both public and private strategies through third party managers as well as directs and co-investments).
The candidate is responsible for compiling and analyzing data, preparing, and presenting investment recommendations to clients, developing and maintaining databases, and conducting special projects as assigned by the Director of Investments. As part of an entrepreneurial team, the position offers an opportunity to develop expertise across all segments of the capital markets. The family office is also highly supportive of personal development including a focus on growing both quantitative and qualitative professional skills. The role will be based in Pittsburgh, PA and will require frequent domestic travel.
Responsibilities
- Support sourcing of investment opportunities by initiating, maintaining, and deepening relationships; assist in preparation of weekly pipeline meetings
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of existing and prospective public and private investments (fund and direct/co-investments)
- Review and maintain asset allocation targets for all client entities relative to investment guidelines
- Help conduct after-tax mean-variance optimization for client entities on an as-needed basis
- Lead annual private market pacing for applicable entities
- Lead or supplement economic, sector and thematic research
- Work with internal and external legal counsel and internal operations team to perform legal review and complete subscription documents; liaise with external ODD counterparty if appropriate
- Enhance formal monitoring process including monthly, quarterly, and annual tracking of portfolio investments including frequent communication with fund managers and attendance of annual meetings
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of investment experience (investment management, investment banking, investment or management consulting or asset allocator experience is desired; Family Office/Wealth Management, client service experience a plus; not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting; an MBA, CFA, or CAIA designation, or progress toward, is preferred
- Knowledge of global capital markets, public and private
- Ability to think strategically and thematically
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; with the ability to learn programs as needed
- Experience using Addepar and DealCloud a plus, but not required
- Forward-thinking use of AI and improving relevant office use-cases a plus
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude; effective time management skills; ability to perform duties without immediate, constant supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to interact courteously and effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
