What are the lessons from academic research for investment strategies for asset managers and individuals? Before joining UCSD's Rady School of Management, Michael Melvin was a managing director at BlackRock. His published academic research has studied exchange rates, currency investing, and international equity markets. He has also taught at Berkeley, UCLA, and Northwestern. He is currently Executive Director of UCSD's Master of Quantitative Finance program and also serves as Executive Director of the Kroner Center for Financial Research.
