Regular Membership
Provides seasoned industry professionals affiliation with CFA Institute and access to exclusive member benefits for continued education and career development.

- Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or have equivalent education or work experience
- Pass Level 1 of the CFA exam, Level II CIPM® or pass the self-administered Standards of Practice Exam

Affiliate Membership
Individuals who are not qualified for CFA charterholder or regular membership can align with CFA Institute and take advantage of member benefits.
- Be accepted as an Affiliate Member of CFA Institute by meeting their requirements
- Agree to adopt the CFA Institute Code and Standards
Dues
CFA Institute annual membership dues are $299 for Charterholder, Regular, and Affiliate.
Society annual membership dues are $175 for Charterholder, Regular and Affiliate members.
Society annual membership dues are $100 for Professional Leave or Retired members.

Candidate Requirements
- Currently registered as a Level I, Level II, or Level III candidate in the CFA Program.
- No CFA Institute sanctions for professional misconduct.
- Adhere to all policies set forth in the Candidate Responsibility Statement signed when entering the CFA Program.
- Candidate membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
- CFASSD Candidate dues are $50 annually and are not prorated.
- Must join as a regular member upon passing the Level III exam.
- Candidate membership is only available to individuals who do not qualify as Regular or Affiliate members.

Student Requirements
- CFASSD's Student Membership is available to those who are matriculating toward a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or other courses of study related to the investment decision-making process.
- Student membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
- CFASSD student dues are $50 annually and are not prorated.
- Individuals may maintain student membership status for one year after graduation or until the end of the membership year in which the student discontinues his/her/their studies toward a degree in business or finance.
- Student membership is only available to individuals who do not qualify as Regular or Affiliate members.
