CFA Society San Diego Mentorship Program
CFA Society San Diego joins societies across the country in offering a Mentorship Program to its members. This is an opportunity for seasoned professionals and aspiring professionals to connect, share knowledge and experiences, grow, and create lasting relationships in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust, and respect.
The Mentorship Program is not a job placement program. Therefore, it is highly likely that the mentor and mentee will not share the same career path or industry experience. Furthermore, it has been the experience of many societies that the number of mentee applications outweighs mentors so not all applicants will be accepted.
Time Commitment
Each mentor/mentee pair shall commit to the following during the 6-month program period
- Attend the Orientation and Wrap-up sessions
- Four meetings to be jointly scheduled between Mentor and Mentee, approximately one hour each and monthly
- Mentors and Mentees are encouraged to jointly attend at least one regular CFA Society San Diego event
- Provide feedback as requested by the Committee
Mentor-Mentee Matching
Mentor/Mentee matches will be made by the Mentorship Program Committee and will consider pairing preferences submitted following mentee and mentor meeting, similarities in professional backgrounds/interests and stated goals for the program.
Enrollment Period
Applications will now be accepted until Friday, November 8. You will need to complete a Mentor Application or a Mentee Application.
