BOOK CLUB: Abundance: How We Build a Better Future by bestselling authors Ezra Klein and Derek Thomp

    Tue, Sep 1, 06:00 PM - 07:00 PM (PT)

Join CFA Society Seattle’s next Virtual Book Club discussion on September 1, from 6-7pm, as we explore Abundance: How We Build a Better Future by bestselling authors Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. In this timely and thought-provoking book, the authors examine why many of society’s biggest challenges—from housing affordability and infrastructure development to clean energy and innovation—persist despite decades of technological and economic progress. They argue for a new “politics of abundance” focused on building, problem-solving, and creating the conditions for broad-based prosperity.

For investment professionals, Abundance offers a compelling lens on the intersection of public policy, economic growth, productivity, innovation, and the long-term forces shaping markets and society. Whether you agree with the authors’ conclusions or not, the book provides plenty of material for a lively discussion.
