Investment Committees are key decision-making bodies within investment management firms, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and other institutional investors. They play a central role in the allocation, management, and oversight of capital.
The decisions taken by Investment Committees directly influence portfolio allocation, security selection, risk exposure, and ultimately the investment performance delivered to clients and beneficiaries. Given their strategic importance, the quality of governance, information flow, and deliberation processes within these committees is critical.
During this session, Marc Fohr, CFA, will explore common pitfalls in committee composition and dynamics, including governance challenges, cognitive biases, and information asymmetries. The presentation will also propose practical remedies to strengthen analytical frameworks and improve the quality of information assessment.
Additionnally, participants will be introduced to a practical toolbox designed to enhance structure, clarity, and effectiveness in collective investment decision-making.
This session aims to provide practical guidelines and actionable insights to enhance the functioning of Investment Committees, with the objective of fostering more robust, disciplined, and successful investment decisions.
The presentation will be followed by a networkig cocktail.
