The CFA Institute Inclusion Code for Aotearoa New Zealand: Why It Matters for Our Profession

    Mar 4, 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM (NZST)
An exclusive lunch session for CFA Society members introducing the CFA Institute Inclusion Code for Aotearoa New Zealand, as part of UK-based Sarah Maynard’s visit to New Zealand. The Inclusion Code is designed to support better investment and organisational outcomes by embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into everyday practice—not as a compliance exercise, but as a leadership and decision-making framework. We are interested to share this with our members, seek your feedback, and understand the difference it could make. The briefing will be led by Sarah Maynard, Global Senior Head of Inclusion at CFA Institute and representatives from CFA Society New Zealand, who will share international evidence on how inclusion strengthens talent management, investment decision-making, risk oversight, and long-term performance, and why this matters for the future of our profession in New Zealand. About the Code The Inclusion Code is a framework designed to help organisations embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into their culture and practices. It supports ethical leadership, professional excellence, and measurable progress, and becoming a signatory can position organisations as leaders in creating a more inclusive investment and financial services industry in New Zealand.
