Charter Award Ceremony

The Charter Award Ceremonies are organized annually to recognize the new Charterholders, who with immense hard work and effort, clear all three levels of the CFA Exam and meet the relevant work experience requirement to earn the title. Ceremonies are arranged in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. 

21st Charter Award Ceremony

May 2025

Karachi

The ceremony was held at the Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel in Karachi.
Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Chairperson of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), honored the event as the Chief Guest and presented plaques to the newly awarded charterholders.

Islamabad

The ceremony was arranged in Serena Hotel, Islamabad.

CFA Society Pakistan proudly celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of its newest CFA charterholders at a special ceremony held in Islamabad !

 We were honored to have Akif Saeed, Chairman, SECP  as our Chief Guest and Faisal Aftab, Founder, CEO & GP at Zayn.VC as our Guest of Honor, who presented charter awards to the rising stars of the investment profession🌟

Lahore

The ceremony was held at the Nishat Hotels, Lahore.

We were honored by the presence of Mr. Muhammad Ali, Adviser on Privatisation & Chairman, Privatisation Commission, and Guest of Honor Mr. Abdul Rehman Warraich, CFA, FRM, Commissioner, SECP. Both dignitaries conferred charter awards and shared insightful remarks on the evolving role of finance professionals in shaping Pakistan’s economic future.

20th Charter Award Ceremony

January 2024

Karachi

The ceremony was arranged in Movenpick Hotel, Karachi.

Mr. Muhammad Aurangzeb, CEO, Habib Bank Limited (HBL) graced the event as the Guest of Honour and distributed plaques to the new charterholders.  The honorable Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Mr. Akif Saeed grace the event as Chief Guest and addressed the new batch of charterholders virtually. Ms. Margaret Franklin, President & CEO, CFA Institute also gave a virtual address at the event.

Lahore

The ceremony was arranged in Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore.

The Chief Executive Officer, Akhuwat Foundation, Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, graced the event as Chief Guest and presented charter certificates to the new batch of charterholders.

Islamabad

The ceremony was arranged in Serena Hotel, Islamabad.

The CEO of Jazz, Mr. Aamir Ibrahim graced the event as Chief Guest and presented charter certificates to the new batch of charterholders.

19th Charter Award Ceremony

December 2022

Karachi

The ceremony was arranged in Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi .

Mr. Farrukh Khan, CEO, Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) graced the event as the Chief Guest and distributed plaques to the new charterholders. Ms. Margaret Franklin, President & CEO, CFA Institute also gave a virtual address at the event. 

18th Charter Award Ceremonies

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, a physical ceremony was not held in 2020. Therefore, in the ceremonies held in 2021-2022 certificates were presented to Charterholders from batches of December 2019, 2020, 2021, & January 2022 in the 18th edition of these ceremonies.

During 2020-2021, 140 new Charterholders joined the community!

Islamabad

September 2021

The ceremony in Islamabad was held at the President House, Aiwan-e-Sadr. The Honorable President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi graced the event as the Chief Guest and Mr. Aamir Khan, Chairman, SECP attended the event as a special guest.  Ms. Margaret Franklin, CFA, President & CEO of CFA Institute also gave a virtual speech at the event.

January 2022

The ceremony in Karachi was held at the Beach Luxury Hotel. The honorable Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives at the time, Mr. Asad Umar graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented charter certificates to the new batch of Charterholders.

The ceremony in Lahore was held at the Nishat Hotel. The honorable Finance Secretary of the Government of Punjab, Mr. Iftikhar Amjad graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented the charter certificates to the new Charterholders.
