We marked the first joint event between CFA Society Portugal, APCRI – Associação Portuguesa de Capital de Risco, and Jornal PT50.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion on “Creating Value – Accountability, Alignment of Interests, and Talent Development” in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sector.
The discussion was moderated by our President, Marcos Soares Ribeiro, CFA, and featured Cristina Barroso, CFO of Core Capital, Sociedade de Capital de Risco S.A. , José Portugal Catalão, CFA, Managing Partner at Mármore Capital, and Pedro Ribeiro Santos, Managing Partner at Armilar.
The discussion highlighted several highly relevant topics related to talent attraction and development within the sector, while also addressing key aspects of governance and the alignment of interests among the various stakeholders.
The relevance of the CFA Institute’s new Private Equity Certificate was also emphasized during the debate.
