His area of expertise is helping advisors learn how sector-based strategies can be utilized to improve various risk and return metrics for their client portfolios. A seasoned investment professional with over a decade of experience specializing in institutional asset management and portfolio analytics. CJ has a strong background in institutional-level investment strategy, asset allocation, and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) solutions. He is a recognized leader and engaging public speaker, skilled at educating diverse stakeholders—from boards of directors to financial advisors—and serving as a trusted strategic partner. Prior to joining State Street, CJ held senior positions in institutional asset management at Wells Fargo and The Vanguard Group, where he managed multi-billion dollar portfolios for institutional clients. He is an active industry leader, serving as a board member and past President of the CFA Society of Phoenix. CJ holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and earned his Bachelor's in Finance from New Mexico State University.
