A Whistleblower Program Tailored to the BC Investment Market (CFA Charterholders Only)

Join the BC Securities Commission as they dive into the importance of having a whistleblower program and provide details about how their paid program works.  You will hear about why they created the program, launched in November of 2023, and what it can offer whistleblowers. Participants will learn what would prompt the need to blow the whistle and what is involved in making a submission. A whistleblower can be anyone who provides information that meaningfully contributes to an enforcement outcome .

ChatGPT for Finance Professionals

Participants will gain valuable insights into the mechanics, applications, and best practices of ChatGPT, tailored specifically to the finance industry. By the end of this course, participants will not only understand the underlying technology of ChatGPT but also how to effectively integrate it into their daily financial operations, enhancing productivity and decision-making. Retirement Planning

In this interactive workshop, we will look at various concepts and tools for retirement planning including the rules and tax implications of registered and non-registered accounts and their impact on portfolio construction for different types of accounts.  We will discuss retirement planning framework, retirement income goals, and common planning obstacles and mistakes that will help you become more confident in planning for your retirement. Hosted by our Financial Literacy Committee in collaboration with the Vancouver Public Library.
