María Guinda Pérez, CFA
Founder & CEO at Cherry Peaks | Advisory & Research in Digital Assets & Crypto Investments
María Guinda is a digital assets investment professional with over 10 years of experience in crypto and fintech markets, spanning institutional portfolio management, fund leadership, and investment advisory. She has been a managing partner and CIO across two crypto-focused investment funds, overseeing more than $300 million in digital assets.
She was a Managing Partner at Silver 8, one of the earliest crypto and fintech investment managers globally, following a crossover strategy across liquid digital assets, fintech equities, and selected private investments. During her tenure, the fund achieved multiple industry-leading rankings, including #1 Top Performing Hedge Fund Worldwide (Preqin).
She later became Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Whale Capital, where she designed and led the original investment strategy focused on niche, low-cap digital assets. During her tenure the fund significantly outperformed its benchmarks while maintaining lower volatility.
María is the founder and Managing Partner of Cherry Peaks, a boutique advisory firm providing operational and investment consulting to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals in cryptoassets. She also serves as Chair of the Digital Assets Subcommittee at CFA Society Spain.
She holds an Engineering degree from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, is a CFA charterholder, and earned a Master’s in Financial Engineering and Quantitative Trading.
