Hidden Investment Treasures:
How To Find Great Stock Investments as the Investment World Goes Passive
18/03/2026 - 19h
Madrid
The Education Committee of CFA Society Spain invites its members to its upcoming event in Madrid on:
Hidden Investment Treasures:
How To Find Great Stock Investments as the Investment World Goes Passive
About the conference:
In this presentation, Daniel Gladiš will introduce the core ideas behind his recently published book, Hidden Investment Treasures .
The focus is on how long-term equity investors can identify high-quality businesses that are overlooked, misunderstood, or temporarily out of favor with the market.
Daniel will discuss the analytical framework used in the book, the role of capital allocation and business economics in long-term returns, and why patience, independent thinking, and disciplined valuation matter more than narratives or short-term forecasts.
He will also briefly address the ongoing shift toward passive management and explain how large passive flows can both obscure fundamental value and create selective opportunities for active, long-term investors. The presentation will be firmly grounded in real investment cases and practical lessons drawn from decades of experience in global equity investing.
At the end of the event, Daniel will be available to sign copies of Hidden Investment Treasures for attendees who bring a copy.
